If you are more interested into the societal relations, you may have noted, that gender socialization tends to start at a very early age. One would need to dig deep and learn that girls tend to be socialized into toy cars while girls are socialized into Barbie preparing them to take care of their children when they grow up. One would need to note that some of these skills tend to be strictly for men while others tend to be strictly for women with socialization beginning at a very tender age. Boys and girls also tend to be socialized differently on matters pertaining to the hobbies and sports they should engage in. During this socialization, girls tends to be taught to put on skirts as well as how to sit with the skirts while boys are socialized to put on trousers. Even while the society may be preaching that there is progress towards bridging these gaps, there are still gaps women should join and work together towards crossing the gap.

Through socialization, one is made to believe that some behaviors, tasks, and responsibilities are exclusively meant for girls and women. You would need to remember that children do not understand these roles but tend to be socialized and as they grow with them, they come to accept to live with them.
